"Dear Mr. Kennedy, Thankyou[sic] very much indeed for the letter I received from you yesterday, and for giving me the opportunity of reading the enclosure, which I return with this. It touched me deeply. If you do come to this district in the summer, I shall be delighted to see you. Would you let me know a little in advance, and my husband and I could come and fetch you by car supposing you were not more than thirty miles or so from Harrogate..."
