"Dear Sir, I wonder if you would be kind enough to give me a little information for my biography of E. Nesbit, of which I am at present correcting the proofs. There is a pssage with says that Sydney Olivier and Sidney Webb were elected members on May the 1st, 1884, and that Mr Bernard Shaw attended his first meeting on May the 16th. I do not think this can be right, as Mr. Shaw told me himself that he had brought Mr Webb into the Society..."
