"Dear Mr. Bland, In the hope that you have not yet dispatched your answer to my numerous queries of the 28th May, I write toadd[sic] another to the list. In 1912, your mother was writing to her brother in Australia to tell him that she was busy with rehearsals for a play - a one-act play that had been accepted by a London manager - and that was about to be produced in the autumn..."
