"Dear Lady Dunsany, I am almost distracted by the news I have just had from you. I left my Redcliffe Square flat in June last year, and have simply never been able to get any correspondence which went there for me afterwards. Whether this was on account of the carelessness of the caretaker or the sheer nastiness of the incoming tenant who had tried to "do me down" about some fixtures, and whom I had to threaten with prosecution, I suppose I shall never able to learn..."
