"Dear Mrs. Sharp, I would have acknowledged your considerate letter before, had it not been for the pressure of Christmas activities. I appreciate the time and trouble you have expended in order to enlighten me more fully. I shall certainly stress Hubert Bland's immense influence on E.N.'s life. I may say that, entirely unaided, I came to the conclusion that she had been under his influence in her whole outlook from first to last, but I am very glad to have confirmation from authority..."
