"Dear Sir, I have the honour to inform you that I am writing a biography of the late "E.Nesbit" under an Agreement with Messrs Ernest Benn. I understand that Mrs Bland-Tucker was a member of the Society (as I am myself) and that she made considerable use of it in times of trouble with her publishers. Messrs Ernest Benn have sent me letters of hers addressed to Mr. Fisher Unwin in which she refers him to the Society as arbiter in the case of some dispute..."
