Nesbit, Edith to Ada Breakell, undated, 1883 or 1884?
Scope and Contents
Transcribed copy of the original letter.
Researcher notes that Doris Langley Moore originally speculated that the letter was written in 1884-02, but that "surely" it was earlier, perhaps late 1883.
".....On a Friday evening we went to Mr. Pease's to tea, and afterwards a Fabian meeting was held. The meeting was over at 10 - but some of us stayed till 11.30, talking. The talks after the Fabian meetings are very jolly. I do think the Fabians are quite the nicest set of people I ever knew. I wonder what you will think of them when you see them. My darling do you think you can come to town this year? Let me know..."
