Nesbit, Edith to Berta Ruck, December 5th
Scope and Contents
Transcribed copy of the original letter.
Note at the top says this was written in Olive Hill's handwriting, with a post script in Nesbit's handwriting.
"Dear Berta Thank you for the satisfying sketch of Arthur's Party with its spirited illustrations. I love having your letters and wish I could answer them properly, but it can't be done. Yes, I did nearly die last week and I assure you that the hitch in the arrangements was no fault of mine. I'm sorry to be such a copy-cat of poor Charles II. but better luck next time. (Well. What do you think. O.H.)..."
