"Dear Aunt, I am afraid the Paris expedition is too early for me. You talk of the 24th of April - I cannot possibly get get[sic] away until after the 12th of May when we have a show of student's drawings at the Polytechnic. Lucky you - of course you'll hate it when you get there but it must be nice to have it to lookforward to. Is it true that the idea of going to Grez is abandoned? It was to Grez I so looked forward - Paris will be hot and dusty and the trams will be rushing up and down the Boulevard Montparnasse..."
