Scope and Contents

"My dear Mrs Bland. We hear suddenly from the Hicks that you've left Dymchurch, and I gathered from your son that you were staying on some time. We are much unstrung by your departure, because our plan was to induce you to come here for a night on your way home. But you are coming back very soon? and will you please come and spend that day and night with us on your way? 'You' means you and Mr Bland, I would it meant all of you but we're limited to one spare room..."
