"Dear Lady, This fickle Heart is still distributed in palpitating portions among the inhabitants of Well Hall and Jane [Mrs. Wells] joins with me as ever in such regards. We want to get a lot out of you all when you come to Dymchurch. We want you all to come over in ones and twos and threes and be affecionate, first some of you and then others and play the pianola to and even it may be read at times. Who are coming and when? We have appointed one room with two beds in it for all September (except the 9th when Edward Clodd is here and one occasion of Garnetts)..."
