Scope and Contents
Collapsing camera ; 127 rollfilm; 4x6.5 cm negative; vest pocket rotary shutter; brilliant finder; tripod socket; autographic feature. Imitation leather covering with "iridescent" finish from November 1926; autographic feature until 1932. 1925-Sept. 1328, back released by concealed buttons; Sept. 1928-1934, back released by sliding latch; earliest models had plain metal lens slide, later models from 1926 had scalloped aperture in the slide; from 1928, slide had front to back ribbing; from 1932, no Autographic feature or tripod socket, focusing catch on the side of the baseboard. Biographical / Historical
The Vest Pocket Kodak cameras were a best-selling folding camera series made by Eastman Kodak (Rochester), from 1912 to 1935. They were the first cameras to use the smaller 127 film reels. "Hawk-Eye" versions of the Vest Pocket Kodaks were premium models, and the "Special" models had more sophisticated lens/shutter combinations. A special Vest Pocket wooden development tank for the typIe 127 rollfilm was available from Kodak, as well as a special Vest Pocket enlarging camera.
