This photograph is a portrait of Boris Vian with a photo of Baron Jean Mollet on the wall behind him. Handwritten note on the back of the photograph states, "BORIS VIAN AT A PATAPHYSICAL BANQUET IN HONOUR OF THE NEW VICE-CURATOR OF THE COLLEGE, BARON JEAN MOLLET, A FEW DAYS BEFORE VIAN'S DEATH. 1959."
