Scope and Contents

A photographic reproduction of a photo taken of the northern end of the east side of North Detroit Avenue from the top of Standpipe Hill. The houses shown are 511 N. Detroit Avenue (A.J. Smitherman), 507 N. Detroit Avenue (R. T. Bridgewater). Basement of 505 N. Detroit Avenue on right. The ruins of the Stradford Building #2 (507 N. Elgin) and those of Mt. Zion Baptist Church lies in ruins in mid-background. Booker T. Washington High School on the left.
