Photograph of ruins on North Detroit Ave. "Park of Dark Town's 'ELITE' Section. Standpipe Hill. June 1, 1921" and an "X" written on front of photography. "This is where the 'Class' of 'Little Africa' lived. Many fine homes were completely destroyed, the rest ruined. At 'X' can faintly be seen the tower of the church where the worst of the fighting took place, this was the Black's maine stronghold. Race Riot, Tulsa 1921." A "9" was written on back.
The title was based on the written text. Digital image has been modified from the original for clarity.
