Written in black ink on verso: " 'Otakeh' Said to be one of five full-blood Creeks. This photo was taken by me Oct. 27 1890 at Okmulgee, Indian Territory, with a 'Kodak' - the first ever seen in Indian Territory and Texas. I was born in Phila. Pa. Dec. 7. 1876; so I was 13 years 10 months and 20 days old when this was taken. Thomas B(laine) Donaldson. Glen Ridge, N.J. Signed March 6 1932. To University of Oklahoma."
