Plate No. 39. Map of Arkansas Territory and the Great Plains of the United Sates, much of which is based on Major Stephen H. Long's exploratory expeditions through the Great Plains of America to the eastern slope of the Rocky Mountains. Includes topographic features, routes of various early explorers, and indicates Native American inhabitation. Map is bordered by statistical data about the area.
