Scope and Contents

Map features the many creeks in Iowa, Fort Dodge to the north and to the south, the Sand Hills and Cimarron River of Nebraska. To the left of the map are two handwritten and numbered lists of sites visited: "1872 - 8 days" and "1873 - 14 days". The 1872 list is written in green pencil and corresponds to marked and numbered areas on the map; the same is true for the 1873 list.

B/W faintly printed map, with most of the names of various creeks, locations, and routes traveled, added by hand. Top margin of map is ragged and appears to have been torn away from a larger map.
