Tues. Nov. 26th 1918. Left [Elclaron] for [Villemblaisois] Passed Wassy & [Jonville]. Had a good bunk & slept well after a 20 kilometer hike. My feet are very sore & [callous] especially the right foot. Gave them a bath in the creek. Had corned beef beans & a potato bread & coffee for grub regular lately.
Wed. Nov. 27th. Left [Villemblaisois] at 7.15 & reach [Blumerez] at 10.45 am after a 12 kilometer hike.
Thurs. Thanksgiving Nov. 28th 1918. Slept at [Rousals] overnight and got 1 slice of bread prunes bacon & potatoes mashed for supper 12 K.
Fri. Nov. 29th. Left [Reans] and passed through Bazel & Lignol and reached [Baroville] after 12 Kilometres. Had Salmon [corn wooly] rice coffee & [bread] for dinner. French won't give us [firewood] I marched without overcoat in rain. Was on guard at wagons 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. Rain clearing up [?] & starlight.
