Scope and Contents
Sat. Nov. 30th. Resting here at [Baroville]. Corned beef hash & turnips & mashed spuds coffee & bread for supper. In bed at dusk orders at 7.30 p.m. in billets. Walked all over Smotherman (Rogers Fights).
Sunday Dec. 1st 1918. 1st call at 4.45 a.m. Left at 6.30 a.m. 2nd Co. in line out of Baroville. Passed several towns & had corned beef coffee & 1 slice of bread on road at 12 noon & we had corned beef hash - corn meal 1st time & rice with bread & jam & coffee. Had diarheoa & was put on latrine detail with 2 others. We marched 24 kilometres. 1st day of sunshine in a week [Hte Marne].
Mon. Dec. 2nd 1918. Marched 28 kilometres to [Drintyville].
Tues. Dec. 3rd. Reached [Louquerne] after about 20 kils march. Slept in barn 2nd floor. Had diarheoa.
Wed. Dec. 4. Left [Louquesme] for ? after a hike of 15 kilos (?) to noontime.
Thurs. Dec. 5th. Still here. Wrote H.F. Delaney.
