Fri. Dec. 20th 1918. Had [stoppagrs] of M.G. in a.m. and squad [column] in p.m. Grub better lately applesuace caggage [?] Rainy getting colder & maybe snow. 1 fr for 2 oranges.

Sat. Dec. 21st. Inspection. Had hot water bath 1.30 p.m. ate up a can of raspberry jam (2 fr) 1 lb & 8oz. Got 2 letters from May Lewry 1 from Hazel Papa Anna Bloomquist & the Lodge C. W. [?] Rain. Sat up with staff & Hawkins at table & wrote May & the Lodge a reply.

Sunday Dec. 22nd 1918. Had jam butter bread coffee (contract #2) rice & bacon. Can't get wood for a fire in billet. Rain & sleet outside. Bought 2 cans of jam & sold Chantel 1 - pushed on guard ( battalion) 4 to 4 p.m. on Post #3. [Stables] to orderly [?] on main road through Massigney. H.P. Jones Sgt. turned Martz in for being off post and in wine shop.
