Scope and Contents
Mon. Dec. 23th 1918. Massigny. Berger relieved & comes right back in to guard house after first fight with top. I shaved in guard house. Got letter from Arthur Bloomquist and answered him & Anna " & Pete Larkin.
Tues. Dec. 24th 1918. Drilled all morning. Had beef & a potatoe for dinner rice & molasses & gravy for bkfast. Got a letter from F.A.M. Looked over my pack for address. The drunks of Sunday night burned up 6 ammunition boxes & had a fight & Martz is in the guard house. Chimney fire 6.30 p.m. Sargt. Welch's. Bought 2 cans blackberry jam. Staff, Cox, Miller, McClean, Chantel, [Buckley].
Wed. xmas day Dec. 25th 1918. Got breakfast at 7.45 a.m. of oatmeal sweetened rice, bacon, butter bread coffee. It rained & snowed about noon. At dinnertime 1.30 p.m. we got
