Feb. 4th. Sent to guard house for refusing to box. Dug latrine in p.m.

Wed. 5th. [Barmeister] joins the bunch carrying wood from the mountains.

Thurs. 6th Feb. Worked sweeping streets.

Fri. 7th. Did not work in a.m. went to [doctors] and Miller beats it at night.

Sat. 8th. Worked in a.m. at bath house.

Sun. 9th. No work on sunday.

Mon. 10th. Latrine - wood - snow

Tues. 11th. Broke rock -trial by Capt. Hale.

Wed. 12th. 81st Div. did not celebrate Lincoln's birthday - spread rocks over roads.

Thurs. 13th. Broke rocks & [changed/charged] G. house.

Fri. 14th. Brig Gen. McIver, Majors Steve [MacGowan] called on us. Steve asked why I was in the G.H. and told the major I was in a shellhole with him up at Verdun. Raised hell till 10 p.m. 3rd alarm & [?] of Barmeister Miller Carson [Byan] Cauldwell Rice Hofstetter Barmeister Pollera Lieut Bosque Murrow Granshan
