Scope and Contents
Sat. Mar. 29th 1919. Marched through a blinding rain & hail storm for 25 kilometers to Balot.
Sun. Mar. 30th. Snowed 6 inches during night & still snowing. Got 1 R.T. bulletin from J.J. Hays & letter from M.G. Riley [fri].
Mon. Mar. 31st. Snowed again & froze over. Had lemon & melon jam small spoon roast beef no salt canned, rice coffee & rice. No drill on account.
Tues. April 1st. Had no reville. Had bacon, syrup, oleomargarine, coffee & bread 40 min. physical exercise that's all. Wilson went for [?] to [corrals]. Got April fooled once. Letter from May sent 2 to Anna C.E.
Wed. April 2nd. We had 3 pancakes syrup, coffee & bread with bacon for desert. We drilled to the rear [march] 4 times & [?] under 1st Sgt. Stillwell.
Thurs. April 3rd. At Balot, rice with brown sugar in it. Bacon oleomagarine jam coffee & bread
