Sat. Apr. 12th 1919. Massingzy. Got letters last night from May Lewry, Alfreda, Papa & Chas. Ericksen. Tore down bunks after inspection as we leave Massingzy for [Nincy] tomorrow. Bkfast rice, coffee, bread, bacon & [molasses].
Sunday Apr. 13th 1919. Left 7.30 A.M. for the last time from Massingzy. The 2 blondies [cried]. Rained like hell and George and I & Bohn, Cox & Mandel had to unload 4 [horse] wagon load of stuff in rain and reload it again. Got [corned] [woody] hash & hard tack [army cake] beans & coffee & bread. Letter from May L., Papa, Alfreda etc.
Mon. April 14th 1919. Carried wood for bunks all day. Got prunes, corned [woody] coffee & bread & 2 candles (shaved with [?] soap 1 1/2 francs bought 12.75 francs of cards. 3 francs of dates. 2 letters from Hazel. I wrote cards to Loeffler Burke Johnson Reed - Bloomquist etc.
