Tues. April 15th 1919. Got steak & mashed potatoes, kidney beans, coffee & bread for dinner & supper. Finished guard at 4.30 P.M. Wrote to Pop, Elin Johnson, Anna Ericksen, May Lewry, J.J. Hayes, Chas. Loeffler. Read book until taps.
Wed. April 16th 1919. Mandel says 316 has guns all [?].
Thurs. " 17th 1919. Got rice, syrup oleomagarine, bread & coffee & bacon. Letter from [Maltice] Riley.
Fri. April 18th. Got new pair of pants for one with 18 holes in it. Got 7 day leave 2 letters from Hazel.
Sat. April 19th. 9 months in France. Got wagon ride to [Laignes] passed [Marceray] [Corilly] [Boorix] Staid overnight at [Is-sur-Tiel] and saw show What Makes a Wilderness Wild. Slept in Camp Doughboy & in a springbed.
