Synopsis of Bellwood. Universal City: Universal Studios, March 6, 1969. Typed synopsis in stapled sheets. Quarto. 6 pp. A synopsis by Dick Whittle of Elisabeth Ogilvie's novel Bellwood. Listed under the category of 'Melodrama - Gothic' the synopsis begins: 'A young woman takes a position on an isolated Maine estate as governess of a mentally retarded five-year-old boy. She falls in love with the boy's handsome, widowed father, but eventually discovers that the man is deranged and is ready to kill her to keep her from disclosing the secret terror he has managed to conceal from the world.' To the best of our knowledge, this remains unproduced.
