A synopsis by Estelle Conde of Barbara Mertz's novel Ammie, Come Home (written under the pseudonym of Barbara Michaels). The synopsis begins: 'An attractive WIDOW inherits a house haunted by the spirits of a father and daughter involved in an 18th Century tragedy. The daughter's spirit invades the body of the widow's young NIECE and the father's spirit invades the body of the widow's BOYFRIEND. The frightening consequences cease only when the spirits are finally exorcised.' Produced as the television movie The House That Would Not Die, which was released in the U.S. on October 27, 1970.
