Midwest Refining Company papers, 1914-1928
Scope and Contents
The Midwest Refining Company papers consist of annual reports, Wyoming Committee meeting minutes, correspondence, and other documents concerning the organization and finances of the company from February 1914 through November 1924. Included are press cuttings dating from Apr 1924-Jan 1928 relating to the Tea Pot Dome scandal in which Henry M. Blackmer, Director and Chairman of the Board for Midwest Refining Company was implicated; and U.S. District and Circuit Court records pertaining to a 1925 equity suit filed against Mammoth Oil Company, Sinclair Crude Oil Purchasing Company and Sinclair Pipe Line Company.
