Features Canada, Indian Tribal areas, natural features. Map also indicates some American states with the western parts of the continent largely unnamed. Plate XIV, G. G. J. and J. Robinson in a 1785 edition of Guthrie's A New Geographical, Historical, and Commercial Grammar.
Handwritten note by J.B. Milam reads "Cherokees in northern North Carolina?" Another says "1798."

It is based on Timothy Pont's survey of Scotland by Timothy Pont conducted between 1583 and 1601 and revised by William Gordon for inclusion in Volume 5 of Blaeu's Atlas, beginning in 1654.
