"Examination of some Indians in Relation to ye condition of ye French in Canada, at a Meeting of the Comm. for managing the Indian Affairs in Albany, 21 June 1709.” It is a report of the "Indian Spies" who had been sent into Canada to see the condition of the French defenses.

This letter came from the library of Sir R. Leicester Harmsworth and was sold at a public auction from Sotheby and Company in 1948.

Physical Description

In excellent condition, handsome in appearance, it is difficult to read because of the many flourishes in the manuscript and the many unfamiliar Indian names.
