Contents include photo-postcards, B/W snapshots, newspaper clippings, postage stamps, dance cards, menus and programmes. All items are pasted onto gray paper scrapbook pages. The album is covered in fabric of geometric design and tied with a black cord with wooden beads.

It continues with excellent detailed descriptive accounts of battles (including September 25th battle on Hill 304), German bombing and shelling raids, the elaborate German dugouts, dead and wounded on the battlefields, prisoners of war, etc at and near the Front in France.
