Born Robert Alfred Doring in Wermsdorf, Germany 1887. Served as a NCO in Schutzen-Fusilier Regiment, Prinz Georg (Koniglich Sachsisches) Nr. 108. Survived the war and was awarded a certificate for 25 years of service (Leipzig) by the Chief of Presidential Chancellery Otto Meissner in 1939.
