John E. Barry was a Tulsa attorney and civic leader. He was a past Arts and Humanities Council of Tulsa president; a trustee of the Philbrook Museum of Art and of the John Steele Zink Foundation; and served on the boards of directors of the Tulsa Performing Arts Center Trust, Midwest Art Alliance, Tulsa Ballet, and the Nimrod International Journal. Barry acquired these documents while studying at the London School of Economics as a Fulbright Scholar in 1951.
