Biography
Rhoda Broughton was a Welsh novelist and short story writer. Her early novels earned her a reputation for sensationalism which caused her later and stronger work to be neglected by critics, although she was described as a queen of the circulating libraries.

Carbon copy typescript with many autograph corrections and changes made by Richard Ellmann. Apparently the typescript was sent to Ellmann for comment and now resides within his papers.
