Scope and Contents This collection consists of eleven notebooks which contain handwritten rough drafts of poems and letters, drawings, calculations, autobiographical notes, and in some cases, addresses and appointments. Scope and Contents

Handwritten inventory of Stepney's personal library, in a manuscript notebook, taken at her home at 26 Kensington Palace Gardens in London on 14 Dec 1857. The library contained books on English literature and history, the classics, French literature, several volumes of etchings, as well as portraits painted by Stepney.

Scrapbook/photo album of I.J.Clendinnen of the Queen Mary's Army Auxiliary Corps. Contents include photo-postcards, B/W snapshots, newspaper clippings, postage stamps, dance cards, menus and programmes. All items are pasted onto gray paper scrapbook pages. The album is covered in fabric of geometric design and tied with a black cord with wooden beads.
