Biography

American politician, journalist, and farmer. Served as the 11th U.S. Secretary of Agriculture under the Truman administration; the 33rd vice president of the United States; and the 10th U.S. Secretary of Commerce. Wallace helped establish the left-wing Progressive Party in which he ran as the presidential candidate in 1948.

Recordings offered consisted of 10 inch and 78 rpm records, some of which were of the unbreakable cardboard variety. Topics included red-baiting, Jim Crow protest, FDR tribute, atomic destruction, high cost of living, un-American investigations, and topical union struggles.AA A small selection of recorded speeches/readings were also available.
