Shleppey, John W., 1901-1975
biographical statement
Tulsa area businessman and collector who owned and operated Shleppey Outdoor Advertising. Later he owned a bookstore in Seattle. He was a lifelong acquirer of things, beginning when he was a child before 1920. His extensive collection of books, artifacts, and papers was bequeathed to the University of Tulsa by the Shleppey family following his death in September 1975.

City and state are not listed, but there was a Shadow Mountain Inn restaurant at 61st and Sheridan in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Unclear if this is the same, but given that Shleppey Advertising operated out of Tulsa, this is probable.
