biographical statement

Tulsa area businessman and collector who owned and operated Shleppey Outdoor Advertising. Later he owned a bookstore in Seattle. He was a lifelong acquirer of things, beginning when he was a child before 1920. His extensive collection of books, artifacts, and papers was bequeathed to the University of Tulsa by the Shleppey family following his death in September 1975.

Scope and Contents Ming's menu. Upon research, this is more than likely the location at 147 Pender Street in Vancouver, Canada. This is based on the fact that the political flyer urging the recipient to re-elect Ralph Campagney for Minister of National Defence is stamped with a marker from the Liberal Committee Room, located at 135 East Pender Street. The date is taken from Campney's re-election efforts in 1957, which he lost.Menu includes Chinese dinner items. Paper placemat is heavily illustrated...
