biographical statement

Tulsa area businessman and collector who owned and operated Shleppey Outdoor Advertising. Later he owned a bookstore in Seattle. He was a lifelong acquirer of things, beginning when he was a child before 1920. His extensive collection of books, artifacts, and papers was bequeathed to the University of Tulsa by the Shleppey family following his death in September 1975.

Scope and Contents Robinwood Souvenir Menu. 6600 S. Birmingham. Precise city and state is not listed, but could potentially be Tulsa, Oklahoma. A hand-drawn map indicates major cross streets of South Lewis and 61st, and a Google Maps search does indicate that Birmingham Avenue does cross with 67th Street. However, construction and zoning changes in the Southern Hills area of Tulsa over time means that this part of town is now redeveloped into a gated community, so it is difficult to be sure.Menu is...
