View of mounted Rough Riders drilling in the field. Inscription on verso reads: Troop "D" Roosevelt Rough Riders drill line up of wild bronc horses. Took good riders to tame and ride. Dick Shanafelt of Troop "D" proved to be one who could and did ride. May 1898.
