Scope and Contents

Promotional material for the documentary on the history of the Tom Mooney case. The two-reel documentary consists of a collection of newsreels, still photographs, and documents, with a prologue by Theodore Dreiser. The picture, accompanied by a running commentary, shows Mooney as he was seventeen years ago and presents views of the San Francisco Preparedness Day Parade of July 22, 1916, which led to his and Warren Billings's imprisonment. The documentary also shows scenes immediately after the bombing; scenes of the trial and of some of the witnesses, together with the spoken opinions of several persons connected with the affair.
