Draft in three versions, each with variations. Version 1 titled, "The Anti-Renaissance", which begins: "A London newspoaper spoke of Wilde's American tour as a self-confessed failure...."; additional materials are comprised of a partial draft and draft fragments, some with additional text taped onto existing text. Version 2 titled, "Matrimonial Matters: With and Against the Grain", which begins: "Back in London, Wilde appears to have quickly borrowed 1200 pounds...." Version 3 titled, "Mr. and Mrs. Wilde: Matrimonial Wear and Tear", which begins: "Not much time was required for Constance Wilde to perceive that her modest income could never float so brave a venture...."
