"I do have some comments to make on the Catalogue, which, with its essay, reduplicates the atrocious treatment there has been of me, originating in that off a few of the Fugitives themselves, perpetuated and elaborated in pseduo-scholarship in the books of Cowan, Bradbury, Stewart, and adopted as an academic norm at the centers of modern academic culture where it is sacred literary and critical fashion to keep candles alight at the Fugitive altar."

"I am scheduled to revise my original article on my relations with the Fugitives to cover the Stewart book, and to enlarge on a number of literary and critical issues I had kept low-key in it - including the debt of the New Criticism Fugitive career to myself..."
