"I'm enclosing my cheque for $4,275.00 in payment of the manuscripts that we sold to the University of Tulsa. In reference to your letters of 16th September I'm afraid that I really couldn't go along with your suggestion. Although the dealer you mention is well known to me and we have friendly relations, we still are competitors and I don't think that such a solution would work out."
