Scope and Contents
The writings consist of research and manuscript material relating to Pearson's biography, Facades; Edith, Osbert, and Sacheverell Sitwell. (1978). This material includes handwritten and typed research and interview notes (the majority of which are written/typed onto 1,855 4x6" index cards); typed notes on Christabel Aberconway, Harold Acton, Lorna Andrade, Cecil Beaton, Fr. Philip Caraman, Fr. Martin D'Arcy, Geoffrey Gorer, David Horner, John Lehmann, Frank Magro, Elizabeth Salter, Osbert and Sacheverell Sitwell, Hugo Southern, Stephen Spender, Rebecca West and others; typed drafts in several versions; and a galley proof.
