Summary
Disbound partially hand-colored copper engraving map. Relief of the region around Osnabrück, decorated with a title cartouche; shown pictorially with mileage scale. Includes eight coats-of-arms and dedication to Francisco Guilielmo. Insets: Osenbrugge (Osnabruck) [view] -- Districtus Reckenbergensis.
Originally from "Atlantis maioris appendix", Johannes Janssonius, 1630.
Thought to have been removed from Willem and Joan Blaeu's Theatrum Orbis Terrarum, Vol. 2. This map was one of Blaeu's first atlas maps, appearing in his first Appendix in 1630. On verso is Latin text.
