Biographical / Historical

Hugh D. Ford's research includes 20th century British and American literature, specifically British and American expatriates in 1920s and 30s Paris, and the literature of the Spanish Civil War. Ford is the author of A Poet's War: British Poets and the Spanish Civil War, Published in Paris, and Four Lives in Paris. His editorial work includes Left Bank Revisited: Selections from the Paris Tribune, 1917-1934 and Nancy Cunard: Brave Poet, Indomitable Rebel. He was awarded a Guggenheim Fellowship in Creative Arts for his biography work in 1987.
