Andre Deutsch archive, 1952-1995
Consists of editorial, production and publicity files for approximately 2000 books published by this London firm. Includes correspondence with Jean Rhys, Stevie Smith, and V.S. Naipaul, among many others. Also represents a great deal of the work of Deutsch editor Diana Athill who influenced women's writing in Britain.

Charles King library, 1870-1900
Originally 144 books by General Charles King containing examples of all of his works, mostly in several editions. Novels of Army life in teh Civil War and in the Old West, and Indian Wars.
Cyril Vernon Connolly papers, 1912-1974
This artificial collection was begun in 1976 with the acquisition of Connolly's library, which contained some manuscript materials. Gradually, further manuscripts and Connolly specific books were added. Literary critic, editor of Horizon magazine, and writer, these papers document Connolly's life and career

Erskine Caldwell manuscripts, 1930-1959
The Erskine Caldwell material is an artificial collection composed primarily of printed editions of his work, including such items as God's Little Acre, Tobacco Road, and American Earth. The collection also includes manuscript material for Erskine Caldwell's Gulf Coast Stories and original pen and ink drawings for by Louis Macouillard for Caldwell's When You Think Of Me.
