Biographical / Historical

Katherine Mansfield Beauchamp Murry was born on October 14, 1888 in New Zealand. She was a modernist writer of short fiction. She attended Queens College in London with her sisters in 1903. She traveled through out Europe from 1903-1906. She is best know for: "The Garden Party," "The Daughters of the late Colonel," and "The Fly." She died on January 9, 1923 of tuberculosis.
